News Release

Sysmex Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has successfully achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification. ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard (EMS) created to help organizations protect the environment, prevent pollution and improve their environmental performance.

Organisations are facing increasing demands to demonstrate commitment and tangible evidence that they are reducing the impact that their businesses are having on the environment. As part of Sysmex’s Corporate Sustainability initiative the Company recognized that a formal EMS would provide a template to help it meet and demonstrate its own environmental goals.

The development of a robust EMS provides Sysmex with a disciplined approach to achieve important environmental goals and targets:

  • Reduce carbon emissions, waste and consumption of material and energy resources
  • Improve recovery, reuse and recycling
  • Meet or exceed relevant environmental regulations
  • Achieve continual improvement

Frank Buescher, CEO, Sysmex Asia Pacific, said,

“I am pleased that Sysmex have successfully achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification for both the office and its factory. This achievement places our business at the vanguard of Sysmex’s drive towards sustainability.
