Our History
Delphic Medical Systems was formed in 1986 to focus on the development and sales of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
In 1996 after considerable sales success during an initial 10-year period, product development was extended beyond the LIS product portfolio. Product diversification into related specialist clinical and health IT fields followed, such as Clinical Information Repository (Eclair) and Workflow Area Manager technologies, in addition to continued LIS development.
In 2001, Sysmex Corporation of Japan invested a majority shareholding in Delphic Medical Systems, resulting in Sysmex Delphic Ltd.
Further investment from Sysmex Corporation of Japan emphasises the level of commitment in developing a regional R&D health IT centre in New Zealand. As a result, in accordance with the 100% stock acquisition, Sysmex Delphic Ltd became Sysmex New Zealand Ltd on 01 January 2004.
